Some are gonna say they never have heard of cedar elm. It gets the name, the way I understand it, is because this particular type of elm likes to grow around cedar trees. Has no actual relation to cedar other than habitat. The bowl is 9 3/4" in diameter, 2 1/2" high, 2" deep, and volume is 6 cups. Has lots of character and great color. Wish I had more of this wood, but I have very little left. Gotta go on the hunt I guess. Sealed with the walnut oil and finishing was done with walnut oil, shellac and walnut oil based wax.
