Cherry and Cherry burl bowls

One of my fellow vendors at the Museum Marketplace dropped off a few pieces of a cherry tree he had cut... there were a few little burls on the wood...
These 3 bowls are from the main portion of the log.... I cut the log to size, turned the big bowl, then using my Woodcut Coring attachment cored out two more bowls.
The big bowl is 9 1/2 inches diameter x 4 inches high, second is 8 1/2 diameter by 3 inches high, last baby bowl is 5 1/2 diameter by 1 3/4 inches high. I don't measure volume as Dave Hoskins does, just diameter and height of the rim. Finish is an abrasive grit, with 2 coats of sanding sealer over, then multiple coats of wipe on poly.

I also don't use a diffused lighting as I should so you can see the light bar over my desk reflected in the bowls.

These are the little burl bowls I turned... they are a little "artsy - f....."... a lot of bark inclusion, holes and such... will be for display only (if anyone actually likes them)
They are all 5 inches diameter and range from 1 3/4 to 3 inches high at the rim... and they are a little rougher than I would have liked.... with the holes and bark inclusions,
was a little had on the fingers trying to sand smooth... real knuckle rappers.
