Finished this up on this fine day! The diameter is 9 1/4", 3" high, 2 1/4" deep. Volume is 6 cups. Did the sealing and finishing a bit different. Long time ago I read about something called Shine Juice. I had saved the article and reread it this morning. It's made with one part clear shellac, one part boiled linseed oil and one part denatured alcohol. Hmmm. So I mixed up a small batch of it and tried it out on this bowl. I figgered why not? If it didn't work I could always sand the peewollydookie out of it and redo it the same why I usually do. I did sand the bowl to 800 grit before I used the stuff. I think it turned out alright. Nice satiny finish.

The shine juice sounds about like what I use for gun stock touch-ups, though it is a commercial product that Vaughn recommended a few years back, don't remember the name though. I've just done BLO and elbow grease on the last couple of full refinishes and been happy with it.

Good looking bowl!
