I've been wanting to mount my CMS on my bench for when I'm not needing it at the house for projects. The Hitachi portable stand has a couple of toggles on the front that lock it onto the portable stand. After some quick measurements I found all that was needed was some 1 1/4" pipe connected with some angle iron to make a similar mount, so today I spent some time welding it up.
The final product mounted on a couple of strips of poplar.
The saw mounted, it takes just a few seconds to move it over to the portable stand when I need to use it elsewhere.
It's mounted next to my RAS, which I'll need to raise up a few inches to align the fences for each. I plan to build some raised beds with drawers like Rennie did with his and run some dust collection to the CMS. Will also create some shrouds around the back for added dust collection.
