Darren's Shop

Put that tank away and clean up that shop! LOL

The blast gates look really cool. Would be nice to have them all come on automatically like that.

Awesome! You are almost there on the blast gate and the arm looks strong enough to take the repetitive use. I have three gates that could use one of those. If you have more than one, are they individually addressable? The little tracked vehicle is very cool. Do you think it could carry a small camera for remote inspections? I could see it doing a crawl space check. Very cool stuff!:thumb:
The plan is to make them individual. I haven't decided if they will be connected to the same controllers that senses a tool running or to give them each their own controllers.

The tank is pretty light weight, but they make heavier duty ones that this controller can scale to. I picked that one up on eBay for $15, which has a battery compartment, and the motor/track assembly. You just add your own electronics. I plan to 3d print a top half for it. I may work in a fpv camera I have to the design.

Well, it's a good thing I haven't started filling up the old kitchen cabinets I just hung, they're coming back down. My work decided to auction off some old lab equipment and cabinets. I may have gone overboard, I ended up buying about 10 pallets of cabinets.

I believe I've got eight 2 drawer cabinets, eight 5 drawer cabinets, three or four 2 door base cabinets, a dozen or so upper cabinets. a few shelves and other miscellaneous pieces. I'll try to fit all of it on the truck and trailer in one haul.

Not bad for $112. ;)

Nice haul! Man, if you were closer I'd be talking to you about taking some of the old cabinets off your hands.

Yeah they were going to be going to the restore, but my coworker's son has been remodeling a house and said he's interested in them. I told him to send me a detailed sketch of his kitchen layout with measurements and I'd see if what I have will work for him. If they are at least close, I'll see what i can do to make them work for him too.

re! I love drawer space over open cabinets - much easier to organize, IMHO. Cabinets on the wall, drawers on the floor (except for one or two for large items.)

One load down, looks like one more to go.

Arms are jello and cramping up tonight, but got it all packed home, just one more trailer load.

All turned out to be base cabinets, but will make things work.

The 5 drawer cabinets turned out to be 4 drawer with a pull out top in the first drawer space. I may try to turn some of these over to have a shallow storage drawer instead.

Besides the two and 5 drawer cabinets I ended up with a few 3 drawer file cabinets and several doored base cabinets.

Sounds like they may do another auction in the summer, so plan to try to get more cabinets then.

How many trailer loads did that $112 end up being?

Two trailer loads, one loaded until the tires were squatting, the second just filled it. The first load filled the truck bed and had some shelving in the back of the cab. I was a bit disappointed there weren't any upper cabinets, but hopefully the summer auction will have a few.

Got a few of the "new" cabinets installed today. Found my floors were slightly not level. Maxed out the left side of this set and cut an inch off the legs on the right.

The table saw outfeed bench got its center stretcher moved back to 24" to allow a couple of 24" five drawer cabinets for storage.

Those have a pull out top, I may make some new drawer boxes for that top drawer instead.

The stretcher on the back still stores the lunchbox planer infeed/outfeed table.
