I recently completed some updates to my dust collection, both for convenience as well as better operation.

My table saw DC worked 'OK', but needed some help. One part of the update was bringing the 6" line closer to the saw, then enlarging the port on the saw from 4" to 5". Another part of the update was adding a scoop to the inside of the DC panel to direct the airflow better. With the old port being just an open hole, chips would gather below the opening and never be picked up, apparently due to the eddy current under the port. The updates create more suction on the saw than I had before.

Another change to my DC is adding saddles to existing lines to create new ports. I'm showing one of them here that will be used primarily on my planer, but could also serve for my drum sander. I added two other saddles, but am showing only one here so as not to bore you to death!

Now, back to the real world of more cleanup and organizing!!!
