DC canister install

Well, our boys have come through again with a mega gift for Christmas, a 3hp dual canister dust collection unit.
Does anyone have a hint for stretching that rubber rim of the canister over the DC flange? It’s going on very hard.

You joke.. but soaking it in hot water might be the trick.. It works with bandsaw tires anyway!

Very funny!! But, that wasn’t the problem, as it was 12C and sunny here today (very strange) and the shop is toasty warm.
A mutual friend of ours, who now lives nearby, had the answer: a little smear of Vaseline on the rubber. The canister virtually fell into place.
Now for the bags, which I hear require six hands.
The unit will have a temporary spot in the corner of the shop until spring, while we design a more permanent setup in the next room.
