Dewalt batteries

Had to have the cable guy out the other day. While here he had to drill through the wall from the outside to the under-house garage. My back was turned when he started drilling. I thought, "that sounds just like my Dewalt drill". Turned around and, sure enuf, it was a cordless Dewalt. Like mine, it drilled for about 5 seconds then the battery pooped out. He switched to a freshly charged battery and was barely able to complete the hole before it died also. He said he likes the Dewalt drill but the batteries are the pits. My experience also. Replacement batteries cost as much as the original set of drill, two batteries, charger and case. And the batteries don't last a fruit flies lifetime. I have some old, really old, corded drills. It is often easier to grab an extension cord and use those. They work. Color me P-O'd. :(
