I'm currently working with a client to build something he could be buying from Stickley except not in his preferred species of walnut.

Oh, there was one other thing - the wait for the Stickley piece would be in excess of 6 months - supply chain issues getting furniture in from their factory in VIETNAM!

Really Stickley? Vietnam? The most American of furniture styles from an historic American company?

Blew me away. 🤯

Looks like they broke ground in 2004.
I try hard to spend my money in my community first since they hire my neighbors, my state second since they get the taxes, then my country if possible. If the company that makes my favorite shoes moves to Vietnam and I still want those shoes I will still buy them. If however, like my Clark's shoes that I wore for decades, the Chinese version are garbage I have to seek elsewhere. I don't know that there is an elsewhere for Stickley . . . wait! That's right! Winding River Workshop. 👍
