Dragonfly insert

That came out nice, Leo. I like the dragon fly a lot. Was thinking it would also look good in contrasting wood as a repeated motif on a fine cabinet or other furniture piece. (y) (y)

That came out really nice, I like how delicate looking it is (y)

Completely unrelated but did you know that dragon fly larva (which live in ponds) pull water unto their butts then shoot it out as a form of jet propulsion? Fascinating critters.

Looks very nice, Leo! When I wanted to do inlay on my CNC, I reviewed the VCarve process, but it looked kinda clunky. You showed how well it can work!

On my inlays, I used a 30° v-bit to cut a positive of a pattern 1/16" deep into a panel, then used the same bit to cut a negative from a piece of veneer and mated the two.

Great result Leo!, if you want to take it a step further, why not make a relief dragonfly or other thing, and inlay it on a different coloured wood? like a sort of hybrid between inlay, relief and intarsia?
