Here are a few images from this afternoon.

Graph of temperature. Our eclipse maximum was at 2:40pm.

We were in the 80% zone. A complete non-event. Looked at it at it's apex, using a welding hood. Could see the actual 'moon-over-it' but without the mask to look thru, it wasn't even noticeable. Pretty much "Much ado over nothing."

It was overcast here all morning, and right about the time it reached totality (78% here), the clouds opened up a bit. Net result was that if you weren't watching the clock, you'd have never even noticed it happened. I went out in the parking lot at work for a minute or two to look at the crescent sun through a pair of cheapie cardboard glasses, but it was pretty unexciting here. My sister did manage to get a few interesting photos. Here's her "Saltine Eclipse" shot:

I never even tried to look.

We would not have seen much here in New England even if it was a perfectly clear day.

In 2024 though we should be at least really close to the path and I will be retired.

Cool stuff, I'm sure it was cool to see it.
