My Doctor just told us the same.... My wife was on ZOOM with him... We are leaving in a little while to get her Covid tested... If she is postitive,,,, I guess I need to get tested also.... although,,, we rarely get within 12 feet of each other... let alone 6 feet!!.;)
 
I've never had a flu shot. I had the flu once about 20 years ago.

What I do with the mask is pull the bottom up onto my chin. Any of my breath that goes outside of the mask goes downward and the glasses stay clear. Keeping the top folded around my nose helps too.

I already had the virus in April. I was nearly asymptomatic except for a slight fever for one day and loss of sense of smell for about a month. #1 wife was down for three days. Her father, who gave it to us, died. He also had terminal cancer and had no immune system from chemo and a time bomb heart condition, oh and he was 90. He refused to take any precautions and it got him. Of course a cold would have probably done the same thing.

I don't fight the mask battles. I figure businesses requiring masks is the same as requiring shirts and shoes or prohibiting concealed carry. It's their business, not mine. If they have something I want, then I wear the mask to go get it.

The only real way to cut your chances of contracting this virus is to have no contact with other humans. So, we're all probably going to get it.

Now, if our politicians will get their noses out of the medical business, perhaps this vaccine can get to America before everyone has to get it.

I had an on-going discussion about flu shots with my PCP for years. I told him the same thing as you told yours: the only time I ever contracted flu was after getting a flu shot. He agreed with the timing of flu shots and people getting the flu, but explained that the government didn't have sense enough to distribute the shot BEFORE flu season, so it was a bit out of sync. He made a good point! Along the way a few years ago, the clinic began receiving flu shots in September rather than November, so I decided to give it a shot (pun intended). Sure enough, no flu and no side effects from the shot. (y)

Used to always avoid getting the shot as I would run a fever from it, not much more and my arm would get really sore... to my knowledge, I've never had the flu.
I do get a flu shot now as it's more dangerous for me if I should ever get it and always get the wife to take one because of her compromised health.
