Love the leg/apron construction. Saw this done by Scott Phillips and am waiting for the right project to come along so I can give it a try. I have a client in Indiana that has been hinting he needs a new dining table so I'll be watching this thread!

I like #2, when the ends of the wide tenon are exposed, seems like there's a time when they are slightly proud and other times when they are slightly inset....hiding them eliminates that.
