Just wanted to start a list of favorite Youtube sites. Maybe you all will post up some new rabbit holes for me to fall into. I'll be happy to update this post with any new ones so the list is easy to browse, just let me know what category (existing or new) they fall under.

I will be adding to my channel soon. I am currently working on the Whale video. Being retired was supposed to afford me more time, but WOW I have been just sooo busy.

I will add some of my favorites later - right not just taking a break from the shop.

Frank Howarth

MTM wood
Best cutting boards on this planet

I probably shouldn't even mention this, but, I will, does it seem like more and more ladies are getting into the wood working world. I am, of course, active on a big scroll saw forum. It seems to me that the number of ladies joining in the past year out number the number of men. Great thing, in my opinion, they bring with them new ideass, and seem to me to be more organized than most of the men... I know more than me. And they seem to bring new energy and excitement. Oh, well just my opinion and I have no new Youtube sites to add your list. I tend not to go to them unless I have a question or need some specific info. I spend too much time on the computer as it is.

Definitely not a bad thing, I know I'll be teaching the granddaughter just like I do the grandson, and any others that come along.

Totally agree, the more the merrier. We all have much to learn and new viewpoints and ideas can only be a good thing.

You might want to add Ashley Harwood to your list. She does almost everything too.

Stephan Pohnlein is Austrian and quite interesting. Some of his videos are in English and some are in German, but watching what he does lets me enjoy the ones in German, even if I don't understand what he says. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVLEP0Szh18ECyvOqKMgT0w

I like Firefly Drone Shows, but it's not woodworking. I think some of you would enjoy it anyway.

Laura Kampf I believe is German but speaks English well, but when doing the actual work she uses a lot of Magic Marker signs in English to explain things.

Izzy Swan is from Columbia, SC and creates some amazing things from mostly wood.

Mathias Wandel is a Canadian who made many of his woodworking power tools from wood.

Dustin Penner is a Canadian Pro Hockey player, who is a woodworker in the off season

Darbin Orvar Woman woodworker

Toolify Chris Doesn't seem to be active any more, but has some great woodworking videos

Kings Fine Woodworking

I don't really have any particular favorites. I like looking at the turning videos now and then, no shop in particular. Also, the critter videos; elephants, big cats, deer, rhinos, etc.. Ran into some interesting ambience videos that I downloaded and like playing while I'm piddling around in the house. Have one for Lord of the Rings, Asgard, woodland birds, and such. Kinda neat. Not woodworking. But, hey! Cool to listen to.

Most of what I've been seeking out on YouTube lately is guitar stuff.

Tim Pierce is an old buddy of mine who's done real well in the music and recording biz. He's got a lot of videos with cool behind the scenes insights (like playing in the band at the Grammys, or playing the solo on Bon Jovi's "Runaway"). He also interviews and plays with some big name folks. His 2-part interview with Ray Parker Jr. was especially good. (Never knew Ray was a great guitarist): https://www.youtube.com/user/timpierceguitar/featured

Rhett Shull is a young guy who puts together nicely-edited videos about life on the road as a young guy trying to make a living with a guitar: https://www.youtube.com/user/rshull07/featured

Here are more

Marty Backe was quite active in woodworking and posted a lot of YouTube videos until he began a new passion 2 years ago, but he recently told me that now that he is retired, he will likely be getting back into woodworking again.

Is anyone here into Electric Unicycles? This is Marty's new love and he has done little else in his life in the past 2 years. He lives in Southern California. After watching his videos I think if I was 25 years younger I would own one.

Dave,
Have you seen the Canadian Lynx videos? This woman has been taking care of MAX since he was a kitten. He has a health problem and cannot be released, so she has provided a place for him. He's a "really big" cat who is as tame as a house cat.
