fire or dump truck rocker plans

I couldn't chuck it up because I cut the piece too narrow on the bandsaw so I put it on the bottle stopper chuck and of course I made the hole too big but managed to trim on lathe to chuck up
Had some colored ply used for bottle stoppers
Sliced it glued it turned a headlight
Darren suggested making a plate to cover the front of the fork glued and screwed the headlight on hey, what I dont know about turning, could fill a book. but I try.
Started making body parts today
Will post any progress
Babysitting tomorrow for a couple of hours

I couldnt find my (I think its a nova) chuck today...took me 15 minutes to realize I put it in a drawer not combined with other turning stuff. I use my lathe like my recumbant exercise bike.
I hang my clothes on the bike, and I lay plywood pieces against the lathe. Im waiting on my son in law to hang up some of those 11 thousand lumens lights in my garage, one over the lathe and one over the work bench.maybe the bright light will encourage me to turn something again.
He thinks they might be too bright, I cant imagine anything being too bright, dont care if I get a sunburn.

Parts are all made
This is what I got
No wheels yet
I still have to turn a small circle for gas cap/speedometer on top of tank
A lot of sanding still needed
The front fender is a bit thick I went with plan but it limits the size of the front wheel
So I'm going to make front wheel small approx 8 in or trim some fat off the top of fender and make the wheel closer to 9 inches
And this is the best I have to offer on this project
Do you like the skewers I use to make sure axle holes line up perfectly?

rhe motor is walnut and maple
Was going to add some purple heart but I have one piece and I promised someone a trinket box to match one I gave them and of course it's purpleheart
I'm not running into the Bronx for something that is what? 15 or more dollars a square foot?

Every piece is rounded over and will be attached with glue and maybe one pin to hold in place while it dries

I used basswood, maple Spanish cedar sapele cherry walnut poplar and not sure what I'll turn for gas cap
I feel a good enough selection and the headlight is colored ply

After reading again I went with what Darren stated
I had to redo it once or twice
I cut spacers on bandsaw
Are they perfect circles ? No but they won't be noticed
I made sure it fits in nova
Glued and screwed the spaces to center of wooden wheels which I cut over sized on bandsaw
I have a tail stock(forgot what it's called)
That will allow me to remove screws once dry and turn wheels or at least give it a shot
Turning Spanish cedar on its edge isn't as easy as i thought
Kaden was over today and he gave me a thumbs up
He's a little confused about fingers so I'm not sure what he meant to say
He's lucky he's cute

Any wood turner if you have a suggestion or if what I chucked up isn't safe please respond by tomorrow
What you've got chucked up looks fine. I would, however recommend putting the tailstock and live center on the other side of the wheel to help make sure the wheel doesn't come out of the chuck. Also, it will help if you have a slight dovetail profile on the hub (the part the chuck is holding). You can turn the dovetail on the hub by mounting the hub and wheel assembly between a spur center at the headstock and a live center on the tailstock.

No fancy attempt at turning shaped wheels
Spanish cedar does not turn well at least for me
It's mostly dust and tear out
The front wheel is slightly smaller than rear wheel
I did not attach front fender or wheels
The fender is just sitting on front wheel
I put a circle like a gas cap or speedometer
It just looked better
I need to clean up wheels
I put some treads on them
And this is project complete before I attach everything and oil and spray
