This is a project I completed today. The scrolling part was easy, it was gluing it together that was difficult for me. I only made one so making jigs to help glue it together seemed like overkill, so I just held each piece until the glue set enough that I could let go. I really don't have the patients to stand and hold two pieces of wood together,,, but I made it.

Another beauty, Paul. It's hard to tell what wood that is. Doesn't look like plywood, but it's nice.

What woods are those, Paul? I'm guessing maple and mahogany? Is the pure white piece wood, bone, or what?

The wood is like maybe Aspen or Basswood. I thought bass wood, except it has some pinkish grain running through it and it seem a little harder than basswood. I have cut a lot of basswood, and I love doing so, this just seemed a little harder... The darker wood in the bottom is veneer, not sure what it is either, Mahogany (?) not sure, from a stack of veneer a friend gave me.

For what it is worth, I contacted Ocooch Woods where I purchase the wood I used, many months ago and they confirmed the wood is Aspen.
