Busy weekend here. Been gloomy and drizzling all week so hopefully we can dry out. The ole rain gage say we've had .63 inches of rain so I guess that a little more than a drizzle. Very cold mornings with temp just above freezing overnight in the high 50's and 60's..It's supposed to warm up by Wed to the 70's. Got to run out to the store for a few thing this morning and put together some note since I'll be giving a talk at a Dementia/Alzheimer's event tomorrow morning about VA benefits and VA healthcare. It is a problem among Vets and this is an opportunity to raise awareness so I am happy to share what I know about VA Benefits when it come to this illness. That's in the morning then I have a Legion district meeting in the afternoon, I am the District Adjutant so it's kinda mandatory for me to attend. Then Sunday and Monday is a regular office days, Tues I have the first monthly meeting at the VA this is an opportunity to spend some face time with the VA and talk about the problem are having with processing claims., so my work on the shop will have to wait. I will try to get the little cabinet sanded and painted so It should be ready for me to hag the doors and install it on Wed. who said retirement would be boring.

Taking down holiday decorations and getting the tree back outside. The missus had a Watchman installed in her heart yesterday, so I’m keeping a closer than normal eye on her to make sure she follows doctors orders, which she forgets on purpose, just to prove she’s still in charge. Weather is beautiful and I’ll try and get some outside work done. Stay safe and healthy, folks.

Sharon got one of those installed. Was thankful to get her off the blood thinners.

Any major plans I had to do things outside this weekend are on hold, since we got snowed on last night. Not a lot compared to some places, but a couple of inches is enough to keep me inside for the most part. LOML is stressing today because she has to go into work earlier than her usual 2:30 because her bosses (the couple that owns the store) are snowed in at their house on the other side of the mountain from us. Anything that throws off her schedule is a major problem for her, and thus for me, lol. In an effort to try to reduce her stress level, I'll be getting as many house chores done today as I can. I'll probably have to take the dog out for an adventure of some type today, too. He's a Malinois/Shepherd mix, and if he doesn't get some kind of daily activity he starts getting wound up. I haven't had a chance to take him anywhere for a couple of days, so he's starting to get pretty antsy. Nobody wants an antsy Malinois, lol.

yeah, vaughn, i have the same problem with elen...if I dont take her outside once in a while she gets wound up, so ill take her for a walk later and tomorrow, even if its raining.
other than that....alot of football, tonight is my big game, sat and sunday pro ball.....probably have the kids over tomorrow or sunday...no difference to me.....Ive got maybe 40 parts left to finish the monstrosity Im working on in the shop....hoping to get to that sometime soon and finish at least all the glue ups by early next week, then maybe do some fill in pcs.....start a frame? noone gets this one...its not good enough for me to let someone hang on their wall, my wall is fine....like my yard has all the previously failed outdoor projects....I keep the far from perfect projects in my back room, just so I can look at it and annoy myself.
elen is at another wake today.....seems every week someone we know through someone else is checking out.....IM guessing its the age we have reached....and alot of older siblings of our friends and relatives are at that age........anyway.....hope you all have some fun this weekend......

Finishing up many Doctor appointments for my wife’s knee replacement surgery next Thursday, then the next 6 weeks I will be her nurse maid to help her as needed and to make sure she follows ALL orders and does her exercises as required.
I did finish staining and polyurethaning the 6 doors for the hallway, now to see if my brother is available to help with installing them, if not I do have a backup plan 👍

Messing around with Fusion this evening. I've been working on a rugged case insert for my DJI Mic Mini's to store in. The original design only had room for one mic and charger. I was able to fit both into the same case with this design.

I also may or may not have ordered another Bambu P1s combo, which may or may not have shown up today. So need to do some re-arranging of the printer/laser room.

Also I have new coolant to mix up and put into the laser as well as the CNC machine this weekend. I may tackle installing a new ball screw on it to get it running again. There is also a limit switch that has been misbehaving, so I'm thinking about installing either proximity or optical switches in place of the mechanical ones, which may require some new mounts/brackets to be fabricated. The electrical junction boxes I originally printed to put on it have screws stripped out, so may draw up and print new ones with threaded inserts.

Dangit. Darren! You and Brent keep tempting me with these things. You've got my mind scheming about what I'd need to move/store/get rid of in order to fit one in the house.

Added a shelf for the AMS unit(s). The second one should arrive this next week. I can see this view changing to 4 or 6 printers over the next few months, the quality of the prints is pretty darned good.
