Saturday seemed like yesterday and here it is again in a wake up.
Jarrod has a friend who owns a action online company and he's drained a lot of my old stuff from upstairs. And more will be going.
Pretty sure I'm cough up on porcelain repairs, now to get to a few painting that have been waiting to be mended and touched up.
Hope to be heading down to Va. to shoot a bird for myself tomorrow.
Be safe have a great weekend !

Heading up t the vet center this morning for a clean up work party on the BARN. The county is hosting a free dump day so it seems like a good time to do some house keeping and get rid of some of the accumulated junk in preparation for the possible shop construction. Work partys today and tomorrow. Sunday and Monday will be the usual 2 days of counseling vet and their families.

Been thrashing on the electric go carts and the other teacher has half the team in St. Louis for the World's Finals in Robotics. We have feed to put away tomorrow and then I get to leave Lou's tractor hooked to the feed wagon. I bought a really nice Farmall H off of one of my old students. He has 4 kids in elementary school playing soccer, t-ball, baseball and softball. Stuff isn't cheap and he needed some cash. Audrey bagged her turkey Sunday (during youth season), then Tess and Eric doubled up on Wednesday with each getting a nice tom. Working on fence this weekend. Mom is such an over achiever, her cataract in one eye grew back. May 5th for that. Ticks, everyone be aware of them. Tess had a pig nearly die from 4 ticks in its front arm pit, bulls in Southern, IL have come up sterile due to the longhorn tick. No treatment, bulls are expensive and this has many issues it will cause. You all stay safe and as healthy as you can.

Ted I have those same raised beds that I'm planting up right now. They sure are nice on my back and the little critters haven't found then "yet".
Good morning folks. After the rain and storms pass will be planting up my raised beds, A herb bed, tomato bed, 2 flower beds, carrots and radishes and then what ever my LOML wants as usual. I lioke the looks and it makes gardening much easier and less weeding.
Wife is slowly recovering from the cracked femur operation. Still hurts when she moves wrong and can be difficult to move around sometimes, but she is doing better. Need to make dump run and empty trash in pickup. Just waiting till its all collected.
Everyone have a safe and healthy weekend and more.
David

I went down to the coffee stand this morning and was wearing my tee shirt that says my therapist quit
I really don't wear those saying shirts in public but I ran down in tee and gym shorts
Few people told me they like my shirt
I held up my 24 oz coffee and said yeah he tried to break my caffeine addiction as well as my gambling addiction
Didn't work(I'm in a casino)

It's been real windy here lately, so that has severely limited my outdoor activities for much of this week. (Too much pollen and dust in the air, which makes me cough my lungs out.) The weather looks much better today, so I need to get busy. 👍🏼I've got a new battery to put in the pickup and a pile of brush to load into it to take to the dump.

I've been refurbishing an old Handyman/Hi-Lift jack, and I have most of the hardened concrete and old grease removed. (There are a few tiny bits of concrete I can't get to easily.) I'll get the galvanized parts masked up and start getting some paint on the rest of it this weekend.

I've been trying to get a fence company to give me a quote on a short (28') run of chain link fence we want to get installed in the back yard to keep the dog out of the area where SWMBO has her bird feeders. I'm planning to call some other companies today and see if I can get someone to do the work. I currently have a real janky barrier set up with chicken wire, and we want to get something in its place that looks a bit more presentable.

Finally joined the Blackstone griddle club a few days ago. (I got the simple 28" 2-burner model.) Got it all seasoned and broken in a couple of nights ago. The natural gas conversion kit for it came in yesterday, so I'll be installing that before cooking fajitas tonight. My Weber grill runs on natural gas so I want the Blackstone to do the same.

I'll be recording and watching the ARCA race in Talladega this weekend. Gotta see how my boy Cleetus McFarland and his sidekick Squirrel McNutt do. (Cleetus and Squirrel are the real-life versions of Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr. from the movie Talladega Nights.) Shake and Bake, baby! 🤣 I'll also be watching the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix. I've got to see if the recent regulation changes fix the problems F1 has been experiencing so far this season.

About the only shirts I wear in public have sayings on them. None of them are offensive, but I get a lot of comments on them. :D

I saw a T-shirt that was perfect for this group. It read something like "I may be an old geezer but I used to be a stud muffin."

Everyone laughs at my being a trophy husband is exhausting

Talking about killing it. 330 this morning out the door. Hour 15 minute drive.
I worked a bird from 1sr light till 845. He would not come through the hedge row but he'd walk 100 yards to the left and right. About 830 I get a gobble from couple hundred yards behind me after I lit up the wingbone call I didn't think much of it till he gobbled in my ear right behind me almost. 1st a hen walks out aI worked a bird from 1sr light till 845. It was getting a little sketchy so at about 55 yards the 3.5" TSS load dropped him. Double beard big boy. Dropped him.

Doh! After spending far too long trying to figure out why I couldn't get any of the Miami Grand Prix stuff (qualifying, sprint, or full race) to play on my computer, I realized that the race isn't until next weekend. But that was made up by the fact that my guy Cleetus McFarland came in second in the ARCA race at Talladega on Saturday. That was his career high in ARCA, and it was only his 6th or 7th ARCA race. The man's a phenomenon. When Cleetus runs an ARCA race, the TV and online viewership jumps by ~100K. A lot of NASCAR fans dismiss him as just some YouTuber, but he's proven he can drive. He's also humble and is the first to admit he still has a lot to learn.

Random complaint . . . I made a tall boy and a low boy dresser for our old master bedroom years ago. I get four of those sixteen drawers. I made two seven drawer dressers for the new master bedroom. I get one sock drawer out of those. We have an old master bedroom closet in which I have not one stitch of clothing. I get six feet of closet rod in the bedroom/office. There is a nine foot by ten foot walk in closet in the new master bedroom. I get about ten feet of rod in there but part of that is taken up with file storage and home defense. I went looking for a pair of grey Carhartt shorts to wear to lunch today and it took me fifteen minutes to find them. They were not in the "shorts" drawer. Before I end my rant I just want to ask . . . where is the justice in this world!?! :D
