Friday 4/24/26 FAST week

Random complaint . . . I made a tall boy and a low boy dresser for our old master bedroom years ago. I get four of those sixteen drawers. I made two seven drawer dressers for the new master bedroom. I get one sock drawer out of those. We have an old master bedroom closet in which I have not one stitch of clothing. I get six feet of closet rod in the bedroom/office. There is a nine foot by ten foot walk in closet in the new master bedroom. I get about ten feet of rod in there but part of that is taken up with file storage and home defense. I went looking for a pair of grey Carhartt shorts to wear to lunch today and it took me fifteen minutes to find them. They were not in the "shorts" drawer. Before I end my rant I just want to ask . . . where is the justice in this world!?!

I feel ya, brother! My drawer ratio is about the same as yours. I get 1 1/2 of the three 6' closets in the house, and none of the walk-in master bedroom closet. And the space in nearly half of the one 6' closet that's all mine is taken up with empty gun and guitar cases. We have four bedrooms. Ours, hers, mine, and the storage bedroom (which is 98% her stuff). Her bedroom is a comfy sitting and dressing room, where she watches TV. My bedroom is stuffed with guitars in cases, old amps, a gun safe, a small "guns & guitars" workbench, and a desk that's just overflow horizontal space. I can't complain too much, though. we have two living rooms, and the one closest to the front door has all of my gig gear and the desk where I do everything (including watching TV). And the other gun safe is in the master bedroom, because that was the only non-public room in the house with space for it. And the garage is 90% my shop stuff. And the second (biggest) living room? That's the dog's space, which he graciously lets us use on the rare occasion when someone comes over to visit.

Yeah, back when I was active it was impossible to contest the room required for gear.

A B-3, Leslie, a Rhodes, a couple of synths, and all the associated amps, speakers, mixers, pedals, and cables . . . I didn’t have a leg to stand on.
