I made a M&M dispenser a number of years ago. I liked it so well that I started collecting glass jars to make more of them, so now I have a cabinet full of jars but never got back to making them. Looking forward to seeing yours.
the new parts keep stacking up, waiting to be cut loose. finished on half of the tops today. was almost done with the second half, when it took a bad jam, missed steps, and tried to bury the bit. wound up having to replace a fuse for the spindle. what a day. tomorrow, see what i can salvage from the second half, and recreate more top parts. it seems like there is always one for each set of parts that has to be remade, oh well. could be worse, could be stuck on the cross bar of an olympic pole vault... lol
planed the boards for the gears, and started working on the gears. while they were cutting, cut out the bases, and started the preliminary assembling of the machines. finished off one set of the gears, and the next set ready for the next day off.
finished the assembly of the machines, checking the spin of the gears before adding the top. swapped out the blade in the band saw for my metal cutting one, and cut 14 of the brass pins (i cut a couple extra in case one gets lost. did the heavy sanding on the machines, finish sanding on the next day off.
