it is a balmy -11 this morning, with a wind chill of -25 to -35. in the news, today's red elk lodge's picnic was cancelled, due to not enough shovels. at yesterday's ice fishing contest, rolund svenson broke the state record, with a haul of just under 45 lbs, breaking the previous record of 35 lbs, held by stanislaw wojcik. another mitigating factor was svenson's ice had 3 fish embedded, and wojcik only had 2.
