I've become aware how my DW7935 planer is now undersized for the amount of work I expect from it and have been drooling over the 18" spherical head planer from Grizzley. Alas, that is some tome off in the future....

I would call customer service (not tech support) and tell them you just missed the sale and would they be willing to loop you in. It's a near zero-effort call and it could get you some dough back.

yup, at least i got that. got the liftgate service (shipping weight over 200 lbs), and the driver was nice enough to wheel it into the garage.

I have the 15" with that head on it and LOVE it. Im close enough to Grizzly here and also know the Manger and got a heck of a deal on a scratch and dent.
