Handy little label printer

I saw one of these on a channel I frequently watch on YouTube. It looked like a very handy printer to have around the shop.

It’s wireless (Bluetooth), rechargeable, small, and the app is easy to use. When powered on you can setups to print labels with the current date/time with a press of the power button. Good for the kitchen, or in my case labeling microgreen trays the date they were seeded.

The D11 is 300 dpi, and currently $28.99…

They also have a 2” wide label maker, the B1, for around $26. I ordered my wife one that came with 3 label types ($39.99), which is still a good deal, should be here this weekend.

The labels are waterproof (at least laminated) and have a little rf tag that tells the printer which size is loaded.

Would be handy for doing quick price tags or organizer labels, small enough for a shop apron pocket.

I have some more expensive name brand label makers, and for the $ these are hard to beat.

A handy label unit is a great thing to have for those of us who like to label things. I am still using a hand held, battery/wall power Brother label unit I have had since the late 90s. That thing just won't quit. I can't imagine how many lineal feet of tape I went through during the dot-com explosion. Since then I have been through dozens of cassettes of 25 feet each for everything from pantry, to shop, to garage, file folders, storage bins, you name it. Oh, I also use it for cable labels; I type the name (like HDMI-3-out) then leave a series of spaces and re-type the same name. You can wrap the tape onto itself and it is easy to read from either side.

Like Glenn, I have one of the Brother label makers. I find lots of things it's useful for, although I should probably use it more, considering how unorganized I can tend to be. That said, the little ones Darren linked to sure seem like they'd be handy. :thumb:
This is mine... the batteries never seem to wear out ..

Yeah, those models have lifetime batteries. Even multiple lifetimes if they're inherited. :D

I have one of those, too. It's been a bulletproof workhorse. I don't remember when I bought it, but it was when we lived in SoCal, and we've been here in Ohio for twenty-five years, so it's pretty old.

I've got a couple of dymo's. One on my garage computer and one on my main computer.

I came very close to buying this little one of Darrens until I remembered I have enough labels stockpiled to last me through the next millenia.

I use them for labeling a lot of stuff. We make our own dog food, so those get dated/labled and frozen.

I like to keep a decent amount of gasoline stored on hand for the generator and garden tractor, etc. So that gets stored with some preservative and dated/labeled so I can cycle through the oldest stuff first.

Love labeling things, lol. Doesn't help me clear out the clutter, but at least I have it labeld.
