Sorry Mike, I'm kind of in a hurry this morning. You're gonna have to make your own cake this year. Happy birthday! :D

Happy Birthday Mike. I think I have used the Awl you made every day for the past two weeks. It hangs right on the front of my wall-hung tool cabinet and a frequent user.
 
Thank you everyone for the kind birthday wishes. I just came home from the hospital this afternoon. I am loathe to report that I spent my birthday and several days on both sides in the hospital with a vicious UTI. I was really sick and finally reached a point where I could no longer walk or get up from a seated position. EMS had to carry my sick self to the emergency room where they took one look at my urine and put me in a bed. It took them a few days to type the organism so they could apply the correct antibiotics which they initially gave me in a mega dose, My blood and urine cultures finally came back clear and they let me go home. You could have poured me into a bucket I was so weak. I still have to complete the full regimen of antibiotics but I am going to be a good boy and do my duty.

Aw man, sorry to see you were under the weather any time, and especially on your birthday when you're being constantly reminded of how old you are. ;) Glad you're on the mend, Mike. Keep it up and I hope you're back to 100% ASAP.
 
Was wondering, glad to hear you are home and on the mend. 3 days of no use and muscles start deteriorating is what they told me in ICU in 1977. If you do not have a power lift chair, a 2x4 under the back feet of your recliner give it a pretty good lift to help in getting up. I have put 2x4 blocks under our bed as it is easier to slide out than try to get up. Stay on the healing track my friend.
