How I spent the last few months cleaning up scraps

It's time for me to start cleaning up as I believe within 18 months we will look to move
Scary thinking about having to move my shop
So I started pulling out any scraps or cutoff pieces and strips I've been saving for years
All the little pieces went into Santa and elf gnomes which I showed before
All the cutoff pieces of decking went into the geese I made
I managed to get 15 or so of them and most are claimed
All sizes
The hardwood was a bit tougher because can't really make anything with 6 or 10 inch pieces of wood
So I cut them all to 2 and a quarter inch and then 10 degrees to get 18 piece segmented bowl pieces
While I have no clue if I'll be successful gluing and turning it's worth a shot
It's way to hot here to do any heavy work
So I've been giving it approx 3 hours a day not wanting to pass out or dehydrate

After these bowls I might attempt one large one that will force me to bring headstock to end to turn oversized bowl
I'll have to build some simple rail to make bowl
I had a lot of 2x4 scraps and a lot I took out of dumpster on corner where they are building a huge home
I'm not diving anymore I'm past that now I'll buy a 2 by for 5 bucks if I need

A couple of tips:

1. Don't use Titebond 3 for segmented work. It has the most creep of any of the three Titebond formulas. Go with TB 1 or TB 2 instead. TB 1 would be my preference, as it has the least creep of all three flavors.
2. You won't enjoy turning a large bowl off the end of your lathe unless you have a very stout (I'd guess 100+ pound) floor-mounted tool rest. I know from personal experience that turning a bowl with a springy or wobbly tool rest is a recipe for disaster.

Love the flags! Beautifully done!

If you can find it use Cascamite. It is a resin glue that Chas Jones put me onto. I have been using it for layered bowls and it works great with absolutely no glue creep at all. You just mix it up and apply to one side of the surface to be glued. Let it cure overnight.

Not using tb3 I had just made a bunch of outdoor projects and the glue was on the bench I put it in picture to show size

If and when I tackle a large bowl as I'd likento
I'm going to use a 3/4 inch pipe on a plywood base with 2 2x10 holding pipe at correct height
The plywood base will be big enough for me to stand on so it will be secure
If it works great
If not well on to next project

The dew point is close to 80!today
Anyone with neuromuscular disorder knows the torture of that high humidity
I'm hoping I get a couple of hours in each day as the weather and heat is not letting up
