I am thinking putting a coat of stucco over wire scratch coat With vermiculite,let it dry about 3 days. I will coat agin and layer of finish brick .

Going to go over the inside to make sure all the seams loaded with heat stop let it dry a day or two,and start small fire to help it dry out.
