I built a "screw jack".

I got tired of trying to find the right thickness piece of scrap to shim the slab when I'm trying to flatten it on the router sled. So I spent some time today designing and building a screw jack that will allow me to make minute adjustments to make sure the slab is right where it needs to be before I start machining it. It's going to make things MUCH easier and accurate. Now that I know it works, I just have to build another one for the other end of the slab.

You may need a couple in the middle depending on length to deal with deflection? Not sure.. the stress from a router system like this is pretty low so might be find without...

Oh yeah. I've got a couple of small lab jacks that will work for taking out any sag in the middle of a long slab.
