I really wasn't sure where to put this, but hey! I finished roughing out two pecan bowls out of the new stuff I just recently got in. Me so happy. The wood on preliminary looking appears to have some good looks to it. Time will tell, but I think they are gonna be gems.

I swiped the pic I posted from Glenn as well and had intended to give him credit (until I forgot, lol). He's an absolute machine.

I watched a Glenn Lucas video once.. actually watch pretty often, but was amazed that he turns at about 1800 rpm on 12 to 15 inch bowls, and puts a dumpster behind him at his left so the shavings go over his shoulder into the dumpster... saves sweeping.

I rarely rough turn, just let the blank sit for a while, then turn to finish... if it warps, oh well!
