some years back and she's been insisting I need to make some for my booth at the local Museum Marketplace... Mason jar lids, both wide mouth and standard... finished in my usual sanding sealer and polyurethane...

I turned them as close as I could, then did epoxy to keep them in place.

I didn't know about the SS rings... will have to look for them... mine are all new from the box, so rust will be problem for the buyer... if they're used on jars just for decorative purposes and not exposed to much moisture, shouldn't rust too quickly.

I can tell you from experience that people love them. That is one of my advanced students assignments. The moms love when this assignment comes home! Great execution and I did not know about the SS rings.
