It's all Vaughn's Fault

So Vaughn mentioned that he was thinking about getting the Bauer brad nailer and it got me thinking about the office buildout we are about to start and how one would sure make life simpler with one so I decided to check them out. I don't have any Bauer battery tools so I knew I would be on the hook for a charger and battery but I figured if it would save time it would be worth the expense. I went into the store and checked out the tool and it looked to be well made very heavy but what clinched the deal was a sign beside the $99 price tag was a small sign that said this tool free with the purchase of a Battery starter kit for $89. So doing the math I decided I couldn't pass up such a good deal. Now the good news doesn't stop there. I got up to the check out counter and went to reach for my cc when I happened on a $400 gift card I had been given some time for one thing or another so it was all FREE and I still have $300 left on the gift card should I decide I want to get more tools.

I went to the HF that's about 2 miles from my house only to find they had the battery/charger combo, but had run out of the brad nailers. Their website showed they had the nailers in stock in Edgewood, about 20 miles to the east. Got to the Edgewood store only to find they had the nailer, but were sold out on the battery/charger combos. The deal is for in-store purchases only, and there are no pre-orders allowed, so no soup for me. :( I don't fault HF though. I knew this sale was going to be popular so I should have jumped on it yesterday. Ah well, it's not like HF will never have another sale ever again, lol. (I get at least one email per day from them telling me about the current sale or promotion.)
