one of my coworkers at the borg, after seeing the small charcuterie boards that i made, asked me to make one for him. he wanted a live edge, walnut board, with the deer head from the chess board i made for my nephew on it. found the perfect slab at a local lumber supplier, and it is 24" long, and a little over 10 inches at the widest. the engraving, which will be done tomorrow, will be within a 7.5 inch by 7.5 inch square, and take a while to engrave. the board has a lot of good grain and coloring, with a lot of figuring.'

did the engraving today, took about 2 1/2 hours. cleaned it up and oiled it, after a much needed nap. did the back first, then the ends and sides, then the front.
