I've always wanted a good set of kitchen knifes but found them out of my price range. One day a few years ago, I found this 5 piece set of Damascus blanks on sale at Woodcraft at I believe 50% off (could be wrong of the %) but enough that I felt they were affordable. Also 4 years ago, the misses and I were up in Michigan's UP for our 40th anniversary and picked up some nice birdseye maple and decided that is the wood to use for the scales. Here is what the pieces became.

Thanks all :) the pins I ordered from Amazon (made by USA Knife Making Supply) due to safe ordering (backing their products!) I ordered some a few years ago and when I cut to size, the middle 3” of a 5” pin was hollow , way past the statute of limitations on any refund, and could not find the receipts.
