So this new smoker is 12v powered and uses a power brick with a 12v plug on the back to power it. Turns out the power brick is bad, but fortunately they provide a set of battery clips too, so used the mower to power it tonight for break in and setup.


The 12v appeals to me since we have some 12v solar setup for the greenhouse. I’ll probably mount a 12v power supply under the hopper , but will get a replacement from the manufacturer tomorrow.

That looks like quite a cooking machine!

I can't help but wonder...how many people power their grill/smoker/pizza oven off a lawnmower?

That would be great for tail gate parties, parties in the desert, etc... Love the idea of being 12 volt powered. Enjoy it!
