I’m building a downsized version of a popcorn style Limbert table with a minor difference or two. The top has copper and ebony accents and the base has a double cloud lift cut out. Neither of these is are found in Limberts designs, but they are found in my clients vision.

More pictures to follow, but you can see from what I have that this is like putting together a puzzle. When glue up time comes there will be many prayers offered. The cut out was done with an MDF pattern provided by Leo. I cut out the waiste with the band saw and used a pattern bit to clean it up. The mitered and tapered side were done using the adjustable “L” fence. I made the template for the shelf. Same process, band saw, router, then clear out the corners with a chisel. The support for the top has a half lap in the center and angled dados to slip over the cut outs in the side panels.
