Little Elm Natural Edge Bowl

Finished this up today. Finally. Been dodging rain storms. It's about 6" in diameter, 3 1/4" high, 2" deep and holds 2 cups. Wood was sealed with walnut oil. Finishing was done with two coats of shellac rubbed in and then buffed. Used clear glue to reinforce the bark to help keep it in place.

Please expand on the "clear glue" you used.

Thanks all! Stuart. I cheat. I use just plain ol' Super Glue. Use it both sides and let it saturate good. The shellac helps as well.

Superglue works for me too. I usually blue tape the bark/wood line so the superglue doesn't run and discolor the bowl.

So the super-thin, like water super glue yeah?
I have found that it can go off fast and leave white spots...?

I generally don't have much trouble with it running. I use the Loctite Professional Super Glue which is in a bit larger blue bottle. I go real slow while applying it and that may be why I don't have much of a run problem.

If you hold the bowl upside down while applying the superglue, it also helps control running.
