I made my 79 x 42 island top about four years ago, and it came out beautifully. I've been itching to give it another go, so I picked up a beautiful 1-1/2 x 74 x 33 Sycamore slab that will be a 74 x 36 dining room table. I just finished the mold and have to get some help to get the slab down into my shop, but it's ready to go. I'm working all weekend, and I still have to get the slab into the mold to calculate how much epoxy I'll need. My supplier isn't open until Wednesday, so I won't be able to pour until late next week. It's going to be black epoxy. I'm still deciding what to do for the legs, but I will probably pick up a set of premade black steel legs when I find a set I like. It's going to be gorgeous.
