I love the way cherry darkens. I had to keep moving the decorative items on the top of a cherry media cabinet at the old house since it was near a window. I just shifted positions whenever I dusted and the top got a nice even sun tan over the years. These boxes I made for my mom one year apart really show the effects of UV on cherry.

Great piece Rennie, one of the things that I'm not comfortable about doing is applying finishes, I'm so scared about messing it up, that I cannot relax until I see that it came good enough... I'm glad that it is not your case my friend.
BTW Those pics are AI generated I guess... because if it is the mansion of your customer, you should keep him happy.
