Tomorrow morning going over to a friends house to see about cutting up some wood off of another pecan tree that has come down. Not sure yet what shape the wood is actually in yet. Won't until I cut into it. Here's to hoping. The wood I brought in a bit back has been rained on enough and so forth to hopefully have some nice spalting to it. Going to try cut some of that on Wednesday. Can't Tuesday due to doctors appointments. One late morning and the other late in the afternoon.

Visited an old man who had a sawmill about 60 miles from home one day. We were talking about all the different woods he had available and he invited me into his shop. Several years ago someone gave him a big pecan tree that spalted before he got it cut. He sawed it into lumber and dried it but no one wanted to buy it for some reason. So he paneled his shop in it. Shop was 40x60x12 and there was maybe 20 sq ft of wall that was not covered in this beautiful wood.
