Here is a jewelry box that I made quite a few times. Women just loved it. It almost always sold first of anything that I displayed.
This one was built from walnut. The lid was birdseye veneer. The rest of the pieces were sold birdseye. This one was lined with plum ultrasuede.
These little boxes were advertised as a little girl's first jewelry box. I always participated in the Art Center's Christmas bazaar and sold a lot of these sturdy little boxes. I hope they made a lot of little girls happy. The dividers, lid lift, tray splines and inlay were always of the same wood. In this case padauk on the left and purpleheart on the right.
