Bought what I thought was a pair of doors from a Craftsman House. It turns out that they were two left doors. I modified one, and built this cabinet for them.

Dennis,

Nice project.

I am curious what made the doors two left hand doors, rather than a left door and an upside down right door. From the pictures the upper and lower rail seem the same width. The glass pattern seems mirrored from top to bottom. What did you have to do to refit the left hand door to the right?

In effect, I had a left door and upside down right hand door. In order to have the wider rails both on the bottom, I turned the right hand door so the wider rail was at the bottom, planed away the rabbit which was now on the hinge side; added a strip of oak to the original hinge side, rabbited it and beaded the outside edge to hide the joined edge.

Not showing this to my wife! I'm not talented enough to build her something like that. She would love it. Very nice work.

It really didn't take that much talent. It's just a box. The hardest thing for me was using a tape measure. I usually don't measure anything. I just make sure that opposite pieces are the same length. This one, I had to fit to existing doors. I have dyslexia, and generally misread measuring devices. This one worked out though.
