I've been working my butt off, but I finally have all of my machinery tweaked and calibrated to go into full production mode. Only 138 more to go!

So I'm curious what you're time/piece is now (and equally curious what your time/piece will be by the end of this.. and if it's different).
Right now, it's quite long. But that's because I had to learn how to use this duplicator. I'm getting used to it and pretty much figured it out. I've also had to learn the best way to cut them. The last couple of them have gone much better and quicker. It will be late January or later before it comes in, but I have ordered a fourth axis for my CNC, which will allow me to make exact copies with no problem and faster than doing it on the lathe. This is probably only the first batch. When he goes through these, I'm sure he'll order more. On top of this job, I'm also repairing/replacing, and refinishing the mahogany seats, and interior wood trim in his 1980s vintage Boston Whaler. When we first met, he said that he had a few friends who were also looking for a good woodworker for jobs they needed to be done. This is a very good contact to have, so I'm willing to work with him a bit to get acquainted because there is possibly a good bit more work to come from other sources as well.

Just a thought. I see some inconsistencies in the small knob on the end of the product, which may be used for some sort of reflexive massage. If you are having trouble finishing the ends, and since you will be producing many of these, it might be helpful to make a tailstock fixture with some press fit foam cushioning you could slip the device into. It would hold the piece and allow you to touch up/sand the end and get a smooth finish. I would use my vacuum system for this, but a piece of PVC pipe with an end cap held in the chuck might also do the job.

Definitely, but I've worked it out, and I'm getting consistent results now. They should be like the center one in the back row. I should be able to get them all like that now. My client was OK with the slight variation in these first few. Once I get my fourth access in, hooked up, and running on my CNC, it shouldn't be a problem.
