Now I'll take the refund since I already ordered the replacement items from someone else. It woulda been nice if someone had told me about this before now...

Lots of weird supply chain issues popping up.

31 bucks for 3 little pulleys! :D

I've been trying to source some gears for a rope machine project for like 2 years, I need a larger inside gear and haven't found much in the sub $100 range. At some point I'm getting out the hacksaw and file!! I KNOW there are places that you can get them for $10-20/ea.. IF you buy a thousand!!

gas bottle is showing empty

The brewing industry is worried about a CO2 shortage. Most of it's produced as a side effect of other industrial processes which are largely shuttered at the moment. I'm guessing you're gas is Argon? I'm not sure what the situation with that is (I'm guessing maybe similar). I dislike using flux core due to the increased splatter effect, but it does often work better outdoors when it's windy. A welding blanket over the unaffected bits can improve the situation some.

Bummer. Is there enough meat on the first set you got to drill them out?
The problem I am having is getting the 14 mm bore. the ones that came from CNC were 1/2 shaft for, I suspect a Nema 23 motor. I am using Nema 34 motors and the shaft is 14 mm. I can get all the 1/2 bore I want off the shelf. I tried boring the ones I had but I didn't have a lathe properly bore them out. I tried doing it by hand and I screwed them up so they are no longer true and when I run them now the belts wont track. That's the price I pay I should have taken the under sized one to a machine shop and had them do it but hind sight is 20/20. They have to be 14 mm bore 20 tooth 5M pitch for a 15 mm belt with a 55 mm outside diameter on the rim or they wont work with the rest of the gearing and the mounting hardware so I sit and wait. At least I am getting really good at Fusion 360. It looks to me to be my goto software at this point in time.

when you least expect it. I had given up on the original pulley when I got a notice from the first supplier saying that the lost my shipment and ordered another set from a different source. The second order weren't due until May 5th so I have been cooling my heals and playing with software. I order some cable chain and router bit as well as part for the dust boot. I went to check the mail today and there was a small package that said pullies on the outside. I opened the package and lo and behold it's the missing shipment. And they fit. I'll need to do some adjustments and tuning but will publish a video tomorrow showing the machine running. Now the real fun begins. I need to see if I can cancel my second shipment.

It's Alive....

needs some adjustments, kinda got the rapid a little high and the acel rates need to be tweaked. Now to fun begin. I just loaded in some G code for a short test program shows linear and cir. movement. Tomorrow I'll work on getting the adjustments right and maybe cut out the parts for the dust boot. I got a few honey doo's but I am sure I''l have time to play. LOML came into the shop and saw it moveing and her words were "so what does it do.."

1st test piece. I just used some 1/2 MDF I had laying around the shop. The submarine dolphins (AKA Submarine Combat Pin) are worn by a sailor who is qualified on submarines, it take at least a year to earn them and not everyone who tries earns them. They are a sign of pride to those who have earned them. I whipped up this sketch in Paint and then converted it to an SVG file which I imported into Fusion. It came out pretty good. I still need to play with the depth of the engraving I was just guessing at the proper depth setting and went a little deep. It's all in learning the machine and the software.
