This post is not so much about me getting a 3 plane laser as it is about me not understanding how tool companies are pricing some of their special packages. I bought a M12 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 250 ft. Green 3-Plane Laser Level Kit with a 4.0XC Battery for Home Depot (online).
I was looking for the lowest price and didn't need a charger or batteries, as I was just looking for a tool only. I also saw where you could get the kit with a case, charger and battery but they wanted another $100 for that.

Looking at the two ads, I assumed I was buying just the laser and they packaged a battery with that. I was okay with that. When my package arrived it came with case and inside that case was a charger and a battery. Also in the package was another battery. I am going, what is going on they sent me the wrong thing! But then I looked closer to what I bought from Home Depot online and under the what is provided section, sure enough, what they delivered was correct.
So in essence I bought the same kit with an extra battery for $100 cheaper than if I just bought the kit. So who can explain this?
