Nice cool morning

We're getting a bit of rain here this morning. I need to break down a bit of plywood at some point and get started on the closet organizers. More mudding on the guest house (oh how I hate drywall work), but it's getting closer to paint and finishes. We're supposed to get more rain tomorrow, so drywall is on the agenda. I dug up the water line and septic connections the other day so I didn't bury them more when I start back filling the foundation, which I may work on over the weekend too.

This morning was my first sweatshirt day for the season. Totally shady as I started at 7:00 and took sweatshirt off about 10:00 Now at 11:00 it is 70 degrees.

I was able to finish decking the deck. This repair is now 2+ months old. I needed to replace drywall inside my shop where I needed to break thru from outside to inside to replace 2x8 and 2x4 framing. Re-did the inside a bit and I love the new layout in that corner of the shop where my laser machine and laser desk is located..

Basically, the rot is all repaired and I am now back to just normal siding.

It's been cooler than normal here for the past few days, with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. Today is forecast to be even a little cooler. But still nothing as nice as the temps you're seeing in MA, Leo.

Wednesday it reached 101. Went to the shop to make sure my lathe had not melted. It was like being in the Sahara desert.
Yesterday it was 94. Didn't go to the shop as I had other priorities.
Today it is 89 but the feel like temperature is 100. Rain is expected this evening in the form of thunderstorms. That will evaporate as soon as it hits the ground.

We have been watering th garden twice a day morning and evening. The plants are holding on barely. We are getting delicious brown peas and butterbeans, peppers and okra. Love me some oven fried okra.

Still hot here. Actual temp in mid 90s, with 'feels like' going up to 105° Humidity in the 90s, too.
Supposed to cool off over the weekend.
Took a temp reading on my asphalt driveway yesterday - 148° 'Twas only 118° on the concrete sidewalk, though.
