I'm chomping at the bit to tear into the Powermatic 65 table saw that's been sitting in my basement for the past few months. Now that the holidays are over, i'll have some time coming up. Since getting the saw, i've addressed the mechanical / electrical issues - found a single phase motor, replaced the arbor bearings, cleaned up / lubed the internals, replaced some bent bolts on the fence, etc.
All i need to fire up the motor is the starter i ordered from someone over at the owwm.org site. Until it arrives, i'm looking at the old saw somewhat anxiously.
After i know the motor and everything works, i'll pull the whole thing apart for some de-rusting and a new paint job.
I'm a pretty patient guy, but would love to really get rolling on this one.
