We have an old Cast Iron bench with wooden slats and it has seen its better days
sorry, only pic I have of it, you can see the cast is not looking good
and the wood is much worse
My son's FIL offered sandblasting services and took him up on it and it came out FANTASTIC! Sprayed with Rust-Oleum clear.
Recreated the seat slats using Jatoba and the back wood is Jarrah, both will hold up well in Michigan's environment. Finish is Cabot's Australian Timber Oil. Ready to take outside
