Early last week I bought about $150 in New art brushes 00, 0, 1,2,3,4's & 5s also half dozen inks and archers 18x24 water color block. The last Sunday my son Jon called and said Skylar wants to ask you something: Pop Pop, will you teach me to paint. Definitely an inspiration to add to my legacy. She has talent, she's 5.5 yo. Everything I visit She has something new on he paint board. All I need to remember are the basics lol
Then I get a call from a Designer who has half dozen studios around the US and asks me if any of my paintings are for sale. I've never sold one because of what there worth to me but the guy said he has a client interested in the raccoon and one of the wolves. He said I know they will be pricey and I said what the hell and gave him a hefty number and he said that's reasonable. I'm not banking it yet but thought it's interesting, the timing.

Retirement income and retirement time consumer. A win win. Been looking for a painting of a strutting tom with a couple of hens. Or a nice mature buck just visible through the brambles/branches. Or the buck getting a drink and his nose barely visible from the brush but his silhouette/shadow visible in the water. Yes, I love your paintings/drawings!

Nice, that's a good legacy to have.

Have you tried one of the new ipads with the new apple pencil for doing art work? I've been enjoying mine. I know it's not the same as working with the real mediums, but the software and sensitivity of the pencil is pretty darned good. The ink and paints dry quite a bit quicker too. ;)

Darren, can make the inks solvable for longer open time, there are a few tricks I know.
Skylar have a beginner artwork pad but I think she sees her limitation. She is a smart girl and knows what she likes.

I always love seeing your work Dave. It doesn't surprise me that it would speak to someone else as well. There's something in the snapshot of that moment in the wolf painting that I really enjoy.

Now lets not forget the bear. I still want some prints of the one Larry and I photoshopped for you (no, really I do)...
