Price increase on pvc pipe is insane

During pandemic high in mid 2020 I paid 18 and change for a 10 ft 3 inch pvc at orange store
Today I paid 45 dollars
That is insanity and I am not doing anymore free stuff for relatives or charity
I was very surprised

Yeah, I needed a pice of 4” schedule 40 x 10’ long, our local store gouged me $85. Found Menards in the city has it for $45 a stick.
