So glad to have found a quality sharpener in my area. Picked up a few random items that had gathered up in my "to be sharpened" spot that I dropped off last week.
Sharpener guys seem to come and go quickly. We have one in my area who has been in business a long time. He is seriously disabled and I fear he might close shop at any time. Dunno what I would do if that happens.
Apparently this guy has been around for 27 years. He doesn't advertise as he is kept busy by word of mouth. I wish I would have found him years ago. I had been shipping stuff out due to the perceived lack of local talent. He is a young 60 so with luck he will be around until I don't care anymore
I'm lucky, my son works for one of the largest, if not the largest blade manufactures there is, he manages our local Michigan service branch, he's been sharpening for 20+ years and he is only 41 (next Sunday). I just hand them to him and he gives them back ready to go
