Figured I'd start a thread here to share some pics and videos of Thursday night's show on the Main Stage at Revel ABQ. We had an awesome time and so did all the other musicians who were a part of the show. I didn't hear an official count, but there were several hundred people in the crowd. (Which isn't too bad for local bands on a Thursday night.) The event collected a mountain of canned food for the local food bank, so a lot of needy families will get a bit of extra holiday cheer this year. The owner/founder of Revel (Danny Chavez) was very happy with the whole thing and is already planning to do more similar charity events throughout the year. He's a local guy who grew up going out to see the local bands in the '80s and '90s, and he was pumped to see a lot of the musicians he knew back then performing last night on his big stage. Danny also runs a large staging and event services company (NRG Staging) that works behind the scenes at shows like Austin City Limits and the Superbowl. In his spare time, he's a SAG/AFTRA actor and stuntman. And to top it off, he's a genuinely nice and down-to-earth guy (a rare thing in his business).
As I mentioned earlier, Revel is an impressive place both for the audience and the performers. The backstage area has an awesome setup for the artists who come to perform at Revel. In addition to a large Green Room with room for a couple dozen people to hang out, there are multiple dressing rooms (I counted 3 on the ground floor, and my buddy Jeff found another 6 or 7 upstairs). Each dressing room has a nice room to lounge in (with a comfy sofa and chair), a credenza to hold things like food trays, a TV on the wall, and a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. (When you're living on a tour bus, a shower after the show is a wonderful thing.) Upstairs also has a full gym for the artists and pantry/kitchen for acts that travel with a chef. There's also a downstairs bathroom with a full-size washer and dryer.
Here's a look at a typical dressing room:

So we got to play rock stars for the night:

Here's a video my sister recorded on her phone. It was our opening song, warts and all, lol. For starters, Jeff's bass wasn't making any sound until the monitor engineer came up on stage and found what cable wasn't plugged in all the way. (The joys of changing a stage over from one band to the next in 5 minutes or less.) Also, the very first part of the song's intro is missing because my sis was a bit slow to get her phone out and hit Record. It is what it is, and the main thing was that everybody in the room was having fun.
And here's a video that was recorded by Donnie (our former drummer), who was the main sound engineer for the night. He just had a GoPro camera set up on a tripod at the back of the venue next to where he was running the sound console, so the camera work isn't great, but the audio is a direct feed from his mixing console so the audio part of the video is pretty decent (except for the playing mistakes, lol).
